OTW by Vans and NEIGHBORHOOD Reimagine the Authentic 44

The Japanese streetwear label brings its signature understated aesthetic to one of Vans’ most iconic silhouettes.

OTW by Vans is teaming up with Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD for a refined take on one of the brand’s most recognizable silhouettes. The new Authentic 44 strips things back with premium materials, tonal finishes, and understated branding that feels true to both labels’ design philosophies.

Available in Black and Natural, the collaboration keeps the Authentic’s signature low-profile shape and vulcanized construction intact while elevating it with premium suede uppers and carefully considered details. A Sola Foam ADC insole adds extra comfort, making the sneaker just as wearable as it is stylish.

NEIGHBORHOOD’s influence appears throughout the design in subtle ways. The foxing tape is printed with “Craft With Pride Tokyo Est. 1994,” a nod to the brand’s founding year, while additional typography across the toe box reinforces its signature graphic identity. Tonal stitching keeps the look clean and cohesive, allowing the materials to take center stage.

Additional premium touches include leather heel tabs and leather binding, giving the classic silhouette a more elevated finish. A co-branded woven tongue label completes the collaboration, blending both names without overpowering the minimalist design.

While the two colorways share the same construction, each offers its own personality. The Black version leans into a sleek monochromatic look, while the Natural colorway highlights the texture of the suede with a softer neutral palette.

The collaboration perfectly balances Vans’ timeless design language with NEIGHBORHOOD’s understated approach to streetwear, resulting in a sneaker that feels both familiar and fresh.

The OTW by Vans x NEIGHBORHOOD Authentic 44 is available now in Black and Natural for $120 through OTW by Vans.
