Oakley continues to push the boundaries of eyewear design with the launch of Infiniloop, a limited-edition frame developed through the brand’s experimental Future Genesis platform. Built around a surprisingly simple concept—using as few lines as possible to support a lens—the new design transforms minimalism into something strikingly futuristic.
Inspired by the continuous form of a Möbius strip, Infiniloop replaces the traditional enclosed frame with an open, sculptural construction. Rather than surrounding the lenses completely, the frame traces only their essential contours, creating the illusion that the lenses are floating across the face.
The design relies on two signature materials that each serve a distinct purpose. Lightweight titanium forms the upper structure, providing rigidity and precision, while Oakley’s flexible O-Matter material shapes the lower portion of the frame. Connected at only a handful of points, the two materials create an airy silhouette that feels both technical and architectural.
That minimalist approach puts the spotlight squarely on Oakley’s Prizm Black lenses. Their exposed edges become a defining design feature, reinforcing the idea that the lenses—not the frame—are the focal point of the entire piece. The result is a sleek balance between performance engineering and contemporary design.
Infiniloop launches in Polished Chrome and Matte Black, with both colorways paired with Prizm Black lenses. While the finishes offer different visual personalities, each highlights the same flowing geometry and lightweight construction.
The release also expands Oakley’s ongoing Future Genesis universe, a creative platform that blends product innovation with science-fiction storytelling. Alongside the eyewear, Oakley is releasing a collector’s comic tied to Future Genesis Chapter 2, continuing the story of protagonist Maxine Fearlight as the fictional world evolves beyond the page.
With Infiniloop, Oakley isn’t simply introducing another pair of sunglasses. It’s presenting a new way of thinking about eyewear—one where engineering, design, and storytelling come together through a frame that’s defined as much by the space it leaves behind as the materials that shape it.
