flowerovlove is back with another infectious pop release. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter has unveiled “In My Victoria’s Secret,” a playful yet emotionally honest single that captures the awkward aftermath of modern romance.

Built around buoyant production and cheerleader-inspired backing vocals, the track explores the conflict between following your heart and recognizing someone’s flaws. Written by flowerovlove alongside Ryan Raines and Steph Jones, the song blends catchy hooks with lyrics that feel surprisingly relatable.

The inspiration came from a first-time visit to a Victoria’s Secret store.

“I went into Victoria’s Secret for the first time and got myself a little dress,” flowerovlove shared. “It’s a song about crying in your underwear after a hook-up when you feel unwanted by someone and you have the cutest Victoria’s Secret on.”

That mix of humor and vulnerability carries into the official music video, which flowerovlove co-directed with producer Raquel Michel. Rather than dwelling on heartbreak, the visual imagines a tongue-in-cheek funeral for her self-esteem, complete with three handsome mourners and plenty of personality.

The release continues what’s been a breakout year for the London artist. Following the success of “American Wedding,” which landed on Rolling Stone‘s Songs You Need to Know playlist, flowerovlove has continued building momentum as one of pop’s most exciting emerging voices. The Los Angeles Times recently described her as an artist who “redefines what pop stardom means.”

This fall, she’ll bring that momentum on the road as support for Niall Horan’s UK and European Dinner Party Live On Tour, including two nights at London’s iconic O2 Arena. Before then, she’ll perform at Spain’s Benicàssim Festival, adding to an already impressive list of festival appearances that includes Coachella, Governors Ball, and OUTLOUD.
