adidas Originals advances its futuristic footwear narrative with the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in two new colorways: Triple Black and Royal Blue. Created in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, the sculptural silhouette builds on its growing cultural momentum following exclusive previews in New York and Las Vegas. Now, after a series of high-demand drops, the sneaker receives a global release on February 21.
The Triple Black edition first debuted at Billionaire Boys Club on Mercer Street in New York City, while Royal Blue surfaced in Las Vegas through a sold-out exclusive launch. These limited releases heightened anticipation and reinforced the model’s distinct position within the evolving VIRGINIA creative universe. The global rollout expands access without compromising its experimental identity.

At the core of the design is an exaggerated, wave-like midsole inspired by the floating gills of a jellyfish. Its fluid, sculptural shape creates motion from every angle, while a layered mesh upper and exoskeletal structure add depth and dimension. Glow-in-the-dark details further energize the sneaker, activating the design in low light and underscoring its forward-thinking edge.

Pharrell continues to use the VIRGINIA platform as a space for reinvention, channeling bold proportions and technical layering into a silhouette that feels both architectural and aquatic. Triple Black refines the sneaker into a sharp monochrome statement, amplifying its structure. Royal Blue, by contrast, emphasizes the flowing contours of the midsole, drawing attention to its marine-inspired origins.
Retailing for $300, the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in Triple Black and Royal Blue will be available at select adidas retailers and online beginning February 21, with signups opening February 16 via the Confirmed app.
