Twenty-one years after its first creation, Giuseppe Zanotti’s legendary fishbone jewel sandal makes its return—reimagined as an exclusive collectible. The Signature Slim Collection marks the highly anticipated revival of one of the designer’s most iconic and sought-after styles.

“The Slim represents the essence of my creative philosophy,” says Giuseppe Zanotti. “It embodies the ability to see beauty in the unexpected—transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. This re-edition is not just a tribute to the past, but a celebration of timeless design that continues to captivate new generations.”

The story of The Slim began in 2004, during an intimate seaside dinner in Cesenatico, Italy. Struck by sudden inspiration, Zanotti sketched the concept directly onto a tablecloth—transforming a discarded fishbone into a sensual, jewel-like motif draped across the foot. The name pays homage to the restaurant’s owner, a longtime friend of the designer, linking the piece forever to its Italian coastal origins.

Each pair in the Signature Slim collection reflects Zanotti’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship and artistry. The process takes over 48 hours of meticulous work and involves 21 artisans across 24 production stages, with nine separate quality-control checkpoints ensuring perfection.

The custom metal fishbone, recreated from Zanotti’s original 2004 sketch, was refined to match the natural ergonomics of the foot. Over 300 crystals are meticulously hand-applied to each jewel, while soft Italian nappa leather straps provide both luxury and comfort.
