Gucci unveils its Spring/Summer 2026 eyewear collection through a tightly framed portrait series that centers on individuality. Shot by Blommers & Schumm with art direction by Riccardo Zanola, the campaign embraces raw photography and restrained settings, allowing expression, attitude, and silhouette to take precedence.
The collection moves across bold geometries and refined constructions. Oversized square sunglasses anchor the season with strong lines and a metallic Gucci logo at the temple. Sculpted acetate cat-eyes introduce a sharper, feminine profile, while the men’s offering features black squared frames accented by a metal logo plaque embedded within the acetate.
Elsewhere, optical styles expand the narrative. Modern acetate frames sit alongside rimless cat-eye sunglasses detailed with gold-toned metal bamboo temples and crystal embellishments. A gold-toned metal pilot design, finished with a bamboo top bar, reinforces the House’s ongoing dialogue between heritage and innovation.
Material contrast defines the range. Acetate and metal create structural variation, while bamboo and crystal details add dimension and texture. The silhouettes shift between retro inflection and contemporary clarity, offering a spectrum of proportions — from commanding oversized shapes to lightweight rimless constructions.
Across the series, Gucci positions eyewear as more than accessory. Each frame becomes a study in proportion and intent, capturing how structure, surface, and attitude converge to define modern identity.
