Banana Republic is teaming up with New York-based designer Henry Zankov for a holiday collection that brings a fresh perspective to the brand’s archives. Known for his bold use of color, pattern, and texture, Zankov puts his signature spin on classic Banana Republic pieces, blending the brand’s heritage with a more playful approach to everyday dressing.

Founded in 2020, ZANKOV has quickly gained attention in the fashion world, with Zankov earning the CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year award in 2024. He’s also recently stepped into the role of creative director at Diane von Furstenberg, making this collaboration another notable moment in his growing career.

The 27-piece collection revisits archival designs through unexpected color combinations, stripes, and patchwork details. Standouts include the Helene paneled leather and suede pencil skirt, inspired by a 1986 design, and the Mateo burgundy leather bomber. Brushed cashmere sweaters, an Italian wool car coat, and Fair Isle knits bring texture to the lineup, while accessories like cashmere hats, socks, and scarves round things out.

The collection also takes a more flexible approach to dressing, with menswear, womenswear, and accessories designed to be mixed across categories. Relaxed silhouettes and universal sizing make the pieces easy to share and style, while saturated colors and multicolor stripes give Banana Republic’s classic wardrobe a little extra personality.

Photographed by Andrew Jacobs, the campaign also features artwork by Belgian artist Katrien de Blauwer, with imagery centered on warmth, memory, and craftsmanship. The collection launches October 20, with Encore loyalty members getting early access on October 19. Prices range from $90 to $600, with pieces available online and at select Banana Republic stores.
