The North Face is back with the second drop of its HKe collection, expanding the series with a new lineup of technical outerwear designed for both the mountains and everyday wear.
The latest release introduces eight pieces that build on the collection’s core idea: combining high-performance outdoor technology with a streamlined, contemporary aesthetic. Drawing from construction methods developed for alpine environments, the garments balance durability and protection with a lighter, more versatile design suited for daily use.
Several key pieces from the original HKe launch return in this new drop, including the HKe Devils Thumb GTX Jacket and the HKe Utility Wind Jacket. Both styles are constructed from 100 percent recycled polyester taffeta and incorporate Spectra yarns and GORE-TEX fabrics, creating jackets that are lightweight yet built to handle demanding weather conditions.

Spectra fibers play a major role in the durability of the collection. Known for their exceptional tensile strength, the fibers provide reinforcement without adding bulk. According to The North Face, Spectra is up to fifteen times stronger than steel by weight, allowing the garments to maintain resilience while remaining light enough for outdoor movement.
Waterproof GORE-TEX construction further enhances performance across the lineup, offering protection from rain and harsh weather while maintaining breathability and comfort.

A new addition to the collection is the Unisex HKe Spectra GTX Mountain Light Jacket, designed with GORE-TEX 2L waterproof fabric and finished with a non-PFC DWR coating to help repel moisture. The jacket also features an adjustable brimmed hood compatible with climbing helmets, making it suitable for alpine environments and technical activities.
Durability is reinforced through the use of Spectra ripstop fabric in high-wear areas, helping the garment withstand abrasion during climbing or outdoor movement. Like several pieces in the lineup, the jacket also incorporates 100 percent recycled polyester, continuing the brand’s push toward more sustainable material choices.
Across the eight-piece drop, The North Face emphasizes advanced textiles and thoughtful construction. Recycled fabrics, Spectra reinforcement, and GORE-TEX weather protection work together to create outerwear that performs in demanding conditions while remaining versatile enough for everyday life.
The HKe collection is available now through select lifestyle retailers and online at thenorthface.com, with prices ranging from $150 to $500.
