For its first-ever New York Fashion Week runway, FANG NYC unveiled a Spring/Summer 2026 collection rooted in the brand’s signature sculptural knitwear, presenting a mix of unisex and femme-forward silhouettes.
Drawing inspiration from 1990s grunge and queer underground rave culture, designer Fang Guo reimagined plaid, lace, faux leather, and lingerie elements through a contemporary, techno-futurist lens. The result was a lineup that balanced raw edge with modern craftsmanship: sheer ladder-stitch knits, gradient jacquards, lace paired with molded faux leather, and utilitarian details like paracord closures. Standout bottoms nodded to carpenter pants and ski-wear, while a new logo jacquard introduced a graphic dimension to the collection.
“This collection draws inspiration from an indie rock musician I was seeing, and from the parallels I noticed with the queer underground raving scene,” shared Guo. “The knitted plaid and knitted lace patterns, in particular, are highlights I’m especially proud of and excited to showcase.”
FANG NYC, founded by Fang Guo, continues to expand fashion’s dialogue around gender and identity. With an ethos rooted in challenging outdated norms, the brand’s work explores the tension between masculinity and femininity while offering clothing that celebrates self-expression, comfort, and inclusivity.
