The British Fashion Council has announced a landmark achievement at The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora—an extraordinary £1 million raised for the BFC Foundation. This milestone underscores the generosity of partners, donors, and the wider fashion community, and reaffirms the industry’s commitment to nurturing the future of British design.
The funds will directly support the BFC Foundation’s mission to cultivate the next generation of creative talent by expanding access to education, professional development, and showcasing opportunities. Through scholarships, student initiatives, designer support programs, and global visibility platforms, the Foundation continues to empower emerging designers—the creative engine behind British fashion—to grow both artistically and commercially.
British Fashion Council Chief Executive Laura Weir reflected on the significance of this achievement, noting that the awards exist not only to celebrate creativity and cultural influence, but also to sustain the talent that fuels the industry’s future.
“This milestone reflects the industry’s unwavering commitment to supporting the next generation… ensuring British fashion remains globally competitive, culturally influential, and economically vital.”
BFC Chair David Pemsel echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of such fundraising in a challenging economic landscape.
“Raising more than £1 million… is demonstrative of a shared commitment to protecting creativity and investing in the next generation of British talent.”
The record-setting total was achieved through a combination of donations, ticket and table sales, and strategic brand partnerships. The BFC extends its gratitude to Principal Partner Pandora and to all partners and supporters—including eBay and The Peninsula London—whose continued investment makes The Fashion Awards possible.
