JISOO is taking on Seoul for Salomon’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, starring in IN THE OPEN, her first global campaign for the brand since joining as a Global Ambassador earlier this year.
Shot across South Korea, the campaign moves between parks, trails, quieter corners of the city, and open spaces as the weather shifts around her. Rain transforms familiar streets, fog softens the landscape, and wind moves through more exposed environments, creating a backdrop where Seoul’s urban energy meets the outdoors.

SEOUL IN MOTION
The campaign reflects JISOO’s own approach to movement and everyday dressing. She highlights Salomon’s lightweight footwear and its ability to move between different environments and weather conditions, from everyday city life to outdoor activities.
Creative Director Heikki Salonen describes IN THE OPEN as an exploration of how people experience winter across different settings. Rather than treating the season as a single landscape, Salomon looks at the changing conditions between city streets, parks, trails, and nature.
That idea comes through in the collection’s three footwear styles: the XT-6 Protective, XT-Whisper GORE-TEX, and XT-4 OG GORE-TEX. Each brings a different take on Salomon’s technical XT line, with weather-resistant materials and construction designed for changing winter conditions.
The XT-6 Protective gives the familiar silhouette a more rugged update, using ripstop across the upper alongside textured TPU detailing. The combination adds durability and texture while keeping the shoe’s performance-focused construction intact.

For the XT-Whisper, Salomon introduces GORE-TEX protection to the silhouette for the first time. The update makes the lightweight design better suited to wet and unpredictable weather while maintaining the profile of the original model.
The XT-4 OG GORE-TEX, meanwhile, revisits one of Salomon’s established trail-running designs. Its GORE-TEX construction brings added weather protection to the archival-inspired silhouette while preserving the technical details associated with the XT-4 OG.

Together, the three styles approach winter through a balance of technical performance and everyday wearability. Set against Seoul’s changing landscape, IN THE OPEN gives the collection a sense of movement that extends beyond the trail and into the city.
The Salomon Fall/Winter 2026 IN THE OPEN capsule launches globally through Salomon beginning October 7, 2026.
