For Spring/Summer 2027, Vautrait starts with a simple question: what happens when life becomes so full that there’s no room left to actually experience it?

The collection considers the tension between constantly moving forward and the quieter moments that can get lost along the way. Its inspiration comes from an imagined life closer to the water, where time is measured by daylight, tides, weather, and repetition rather than schedules and urgency.

That idea translates into a collection built around lightness and ease. Sailing-inspired knots, open constructions, and airy materials create silhouettes that move naturally with the body, while the palette takes cues from the landscape around the sea.

Colors drawn from salt, seaweed, sunlight, and oxidized metal give the collection a weathered, coastal quality without relying on overt nautical references. Instead, those elements appear as subtle traces of a different relationship with time and the environment.

There’s something intentionally uncomplicated about the collection’s approach. Clothes are designed to feel light against the body, with open structures and relaxed forms that allow movement—and even the wind—to become part of the experience.

Rather than presenting the sea as an escape, Vautrait uses it as a way to consider a different pace of life: one with fewer distractions, more time outdoors, and a little more room to simply be present.

For SS27, that sense of freedom becomes the collection’s central idea.
