Hunter Schafer and Troye Sivan Lead Prada’s Simple Stories Campaign

Directed by Barry Jenkins, Simple Stories explores identity, emotion, and the subtle power of clothing through a series of beautifully understated scenes.

Prada is embracing the quiet beauty of everyday life with its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, Simple Stories. Starring Hunter Schafer, Troye Sivan, Chen Haoyu, and Kelvin Harrison Jr., the campaign captures fleeting moments that feel intimate, cinematic, and deliberately open to interpretation.

Created under the direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, Simple Stories reflects the themes of the house’s latest menswear and womenswear collections. Rather than relying on dramatic narratives, the campaign focuses on subtle gestures, body language, and atmosphere, revealing how clothing can shape the way a moment is experienced.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins, the accompanying film approaches fashion through the lens of character and emotion. Given the freedom to interpret the collections without a rigid storyline, Jenkins creates a series of understated scenes that feel more like fragments of a larger film than a traditional campaign.

Throughout the film, Schafer quietly tears pages from a diary, Chen Haoyu becomes absorbed in a book, and Troye Sivan wanders through the expansive rooms of a countryside villa. Kelvin Harrison Jr. provides the film’s sparse narration, while a restrained soundtrack reinforces its reflective mood. Together, these moments create an atmosphere that feels both familiar and slightly mysterious.

Rather than treating fashion as decoration, Prada positions each look as part of the story itself. Silhouettes, textures, color, and movement help define each character, subtly influencing the emotional tone of every scene. The clothing doesn’t simply accompany the narrative—it helps create it.

With Simple Stories, Prada once again blurs the line between fashion and cinema. The campaign invites viewers to slow down, find meaning in ordinary moments, and consider how clothing shapes not only appearance, but the stories we tell about ourselves.
